Chief Electoral Officer Issues Writs
RANKIN INLET, Nunavut - (September 22, 2025)
Pursuant to the Proclamation of Election by the Commissioner of Nunavut, the Chief Electoral Officer has issued a writ of election to the Returning Officers in each of Nunavut’s 22 constituencies. The Election Day will be October 27.
In each constituency, Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers will be accepting Declarations of Candidacy starting today and ending on Friday, September 26 at 2:00pm local time. The contact information for the Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers are posted on our website www.elections.nu.ca.
The names and contact information for accepted candidates and their financial agents will also be found on our website as soon as they are confirmed.
